How it Works:
- Check King Pin Wear: Slide the round opening over the king pin "neck." If it fits at the minimum neck area, the king pin is worn beyond serviceable limits.
- Check Height & Squareness: Place the gauge at 90° to the bolster plate. If it won’t fit into the recesses, the king pin height is incorrect—or the king pin/bolster plate is bent.
- Full 360° Check: Rotate the gauge completely around the king pin to confirm straightness of the king pin and bolster plate.
